Ecoaction actively collaborates with civil society organisations and networks, as only joint efforts can drive meaningful systemic change and effectively address the climate crisis.
Ecoaction is a member of Climate Action Network in Europe – CAN Europe, which brings together more than 200 organisations from 40 European countries, representing over 40 million people. The European network is part of the broader Climate Action Network International, which includes more than 1,900 civil society organisations across 130 countries worldwide. Members of the network work together to develop common positions, influence European and international climate policy, carry out advocacy campaigns, and strengthen the role of civil society in climate decision-making.
CAN coordinates civil society engagement in UN climate negotiations and other international platforms. For Ecoaction, participation in CAN Europe provides valuable opportunities — from expert support and knowledge exchange to building partnerships for the implementation of climate solutions.
CAN Europe also serves as an important platform for countering russian narratives that are increasingly spreading across Europe. Ecoaction uses this platform to highlight the role of fossil fuels in financing russia’s aggression, advocate for sanctions on its coal, oil, and gas, and raise awareness about the climate impact of the war and the need for accountability.
Ecoaction is also a member of the Ukrainian Climate Network (UCN). As of 2025, the network brings together 41 civil society organisations, associations, and charitable foundations registered across 21 cities in 18 regions of Ukraine.
The mission of the Ukrainian Climate Network is to protect people’s right to live in a safe environment in the context of global climate change. Ecoaction is an active member of the network: we initiate and contribute to joint civil society statements and positions, disseminate information, participate in collective actions and events, and engage members from other cities to strengthen local climate policy. We have also been supporting the strategic development of the network for several years.
